Peter Cipkowski will give an overview the Roe Jan Central School District including (a) its formation from dozens of much smaller school districts, (b) its construction at the height of the Depression, and (c) the story of the many educators and students who passed through its doors based on interviews of many former teachers, students and personal research.
Peter Cipkowski attended Roe Jan through 8th grade and graduated from Taconic Hills in 1977. The author of two books published by John Wiley & Sons, Peter has overseen program management business development and marketing at Scholastic and Pearson. He now helps lead an innovative web-based intervention system called Think Through Math. He has been a member of the Hillsdale Town Board for 7 years.
