Fifth Annual Roe Jan Ramble Bike Tour

Get ready! The 5th Annual Roe Jan Ramble Bike Tour will take place on Saturday, September 23, 2017. Sponsored by the Towns of Ancram, Copake and Hillsdale, this popular non-competitive community cycling event is a is a great way to spend the day with family and friends, or just ride yourself, on four different routes: 10, 25, 35 and 50 miles on the quiet country roads winding through the beautiful scenery of our area. This free event is geared to both the casual and the experienced cyclist, and can be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of level.

The Ramble has just announced in honor of its 5th Anniversary it will be making available a special commemorative T-shirt. The shirt is available FREE to all participants who register to ride no later than Tuesday, September 5. Simply go to www.roejanramble.org , click “Register to Ride”, and make sure to indicate your T-shirt size. Pick up yours when you check-in on the day of the ride. But make sure you sign up by September 5 or you’ll miss out on this great commemorative T-shirt. (And shhhh… rumor has it that a limited number of special logo Hats may be available the day of the ride, too….)

Although the ride is free and open to everyone, participants are encouraged to donate, or collect pledges, to benefit the Harlem Valley Rail Trail Association. This year’s Ramble will celebrate the success of prior years with two routes that for the first time include the newly opened extension of the Rail Trail between Copake and Hillsdale.

But don’t wait to sign up!  Due to the popularity of this event, this year’s ridership is expected to be limited to 300 lucky participants. For more information and to register to ride, go to www.roejanramble.org.
