Pianist Sohyun Ahn at Library

The Roeliff-Jansen Community Library is delighted to present accomplished and world-renowned pianist Sohyun Ahn on Sunday, September 10 at 5 pm.  Dr. Ahn will play the complete Goldberg Variations by Johann Sabastian Bach.  It is rare to hear the entire piece in concert and Dr. Anh will play the same concert at Carnegie Hall in October.

Pianist Sohyun Ahn has performed as a solo recitalist, orchestral soloist, and chamber musician throughout Europe, Asia and the United States.  She was named Performer of the Year by Eumak-Chunchu, South Korea’s leading classical music journal.

In the United States, her performance venues include Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Merkin Hall, other locations in New York City and the Tri-state area, as well as the University of Texas at Austin.

A dedicated educator, Dr. Ahn currently serves on the faculty at Concordia College and the Geneva Conservatory in New York.  She has been a recipient of numerous awards and received her Doctor of Musical Arts Degree from Rutgers University.
