Joe Rose Jazz Trio at Library

The Joe Rose Jazz Trio, Joe Rose, piano; Daniel Broad, bass; and Conor Meehan, drums will play American Jazz Standards on Sunday, September 30 at 5 pm.

Joe Rose, pianist, graduated from Brown University with a degree in electronic music and composition.  Since then he’s been a career musician recording, performing, and teaching.  For seventeen years Joe has been the music director at St. Charles Church in Pittsfield, MA.  In addition to developing and playing jazz stylings from the Great American Songbook, Joe performs pop hits from the 50’s, 60’s, and beyond.

Daniel Broad has been one of the most sought after bassists in New England for over 30 years. He has performed all over the U.S. and in several European countries. Splitting his time between string bass and bass guitar, he has toured extensively with legendary groups such as The Platters, The Drifters, and The Charles Neville Band. He currently works as a free-lance bassist, instructor and luthier.

Conor Meehan is a versatile drummer based in New York City.  He has appeared on over 50 recordings and has toured extensively throughout the US, Canada, Europe, Japan and Brazil. He has taught at Williams College since 2005 and also teaches at UMass. He plays regularly in NYC with various musicians and groups.
