Birding Talk and and Walk with Kathryn Schneider

Please join us on Saturday, June 8th on a private property located within Taconic State Park for a very special birding event.

At 11 am renowned birder Kathryn Schneider will lead a hands-on walk and workshop (following a 9 am talk that you may wish to attend also). She will focus on finding and identifying birds in the field. Kathryn, the past president of the NY State Ornithological Association and author of the new book Birding the Hudson Valley, will reveal how bird identification depends on noticing the clues that birds provide, even when we only see them for a few seconds.

Tickets for the 11 am walk are $50 to the public, but thanks to Park neighbors Margaret Roach and Deb Cohen, $10 of the ticket price will be refunded after purchase PLUS the 9 am workshop will be included with your purchase of the 11 am ticket. Be sure to reply to the ticket confirmation with “FTSP Member.”

Precise directions to the private location within Taconic State Park will be provided by email.
