The Hillsdale Open Space Survey seeks to understand the current views of town residents, frequent visitors and others about open spaces, that is, undeveloped areas of land, in the Town. The purpose of the survey is to
determine whether people value open spaces, the value they place on different kinds of spaces (e.g., forested land, meadows, water bodies, fields in active agriculture) and their reasons for their view. Ultimately, the Conservation Advisory Council, along with other members of the Open Space team, will propose an open space plan for the Town supported by its residents.
