SUMMARY:Memorial Day Parade
DESCRIPTION:This year it’s Hillsdale’s turn to host the Memorial Day Parade for the Roe Jan area. Monday\, May 30\, marchers will line up at 10:30 on Anthony Street\, and the parade will kick off at 11 AM. It will proceed up Anthony Street\, east on Route 23 to the traffic light\, and north on 22 to the Hillsdale Fire house. \nThe parade will pause at the Civil War memorial and the veteran’s memorial next to the sheriff’s substation to honor those who died in service to our country. \nIn the parade will be the Cadby-Schutts VFW Post\, which organized the annual parades; the Hillsdale\, Copake and Ancram fire companies\, the American Legion\, Boy Scouts\, Girl Scouts\, Copake Grange\, Town supervisors and board members and more.A short ceremony will follow at the the Hillsdale Fire Company\, including the raising and lowering of the flag\, and playing of taps.
