Zoning Board of Appeals
We’re here to review and adjudicate land use projects which require exceptions to the standards of the Zoning Enforcement laws. In Hillsdale Zoning Law there are very few activities which are actually prohibited and also very few activities which are permitted without first going through the special permit process. Accordingly, property owners are afforded the greatest possible freedom in how they use their land, while at the same time providing the greatest possible protection against incompatible uses to neighbors and to the town as a whole.
