The Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Hillsdale will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 7:30 PM at the Hillsdale Town Hall to consider an application by Gloria Kemp, Margaret Rosenthaler and the Harlemville Rural Cemetry for an area variance in order to do a lot line adjustment on properties at 1124 County Route 21 and Harlemville Rural Cemetery. All interested parties are invited to attend.

Public Notice

A Public Hearing will be held before the Hillsdale Planning Board upon the application of Ellen Zaroff, represented by Dan Russell, concerning a property at 6634 Lockwood Road, Tax ID #134.-1-19. The application is filed for a minor subdivision. The public hearing will take place at 7 PM on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Hillsdale Town Hall. At this time and place, any person determing to be heard may be present.

  • Lot Line Adjustment: Gloria Kemp and Margaret Rosenthaler at 1124 County Route 24 Tax ID #104.-1-2.200 would like to donate .466 of their 3.08 acre property to Harlemville Cemetery

Reopening Guidelines

Hillsdale Town employees return to their normally scheduled hours on Monday, July 6. A link to the Town Hall directory with scheduled hours and employee contact information is provided below.
When working in or visiting Town Hall, please follow these rules:
  1. Town Hall is open to the public by appointment only. Do not come to Town Hall without an appointment.
  2. Employees and visitors are required to wear a face covering. Masks are available if you arrive without one. If you are not able to wear a mask, please conduct your business virtually.
  3. When you arrive at Town Hall, the doors will be locked. Call the person you are scheduled to see to announce your arrival or knock on the front door.
  4. Maintain mandatory 6-foot social distance.
  5. All employees and visitors to Town buildings will fill out a daily health- screening questionnaire. All visitors must also log in with contact information for contact tracing. Questionnaires and log in forms are available at the entrance.
  6. Stay home or go home if you think you have been exposed to someone with COVID 19 or have any possible symptoms – fever over 100.4, cough, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, or shortness of breath.
  7. Shared desks and equipment will be sanitized after each use by the previous user and before each use by the new user.
  8. Cleaning and sanitizing of common areas and restrooms will be completed regularly.
  9. Hand sanitizer is available in all common areas.
  10. The restroom is closed to the public.
  11. Plexiglass shields have been installed to protect staff.
  12. Town meetings will be held remotely through August 1.
