Zoning Board

The Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Hillsdale will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 7:30 PM at the Hillsdale Town Hall to consider an application by Gloria Kemp, Margaret Rosenthaler and the Harlemville Rural Cemetry for an area variance in order to do a lot line adjustment on properties at 1124 County Route 21 and Harlemville Rural Cemetery. All interested parties are invited to attend.

A Public Hearing will be held before the Hillsdale Planning Board upon the application of Ellen Zaroff, represented by Dan Russell, concerning a property at 6634 Lockwood Road, Tax ID #134.-1-19. The application is filed for a minor subdivision. The public hearing will take place at 7 PM on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Hillsdale Town Hall. At this time and place, any person determing to be heard may be present.

  • Lot Line Adjustment: Gloria Kemp and Margaret Rosenthaler at 1124 County Route 24 Tax ID #104.-1-2.200 would like to donate .466 of their 3.08 acre property to Harlemville Cemetery

Volunteer Fair at Library

Looking for a way to connect with your neighbors and to give back to your community? Good Samaritans of all ages are invited to come learn about the various community organizations and nonprofits in southeastern Columbia County, and their volunteer opportunities. Representatives from local organizations will be on hand with information about their organizations and the ways that you can contribute. Participating organizations include Taconic Hills School District, the Columbia County Land Conservancy, Literacy Connections, local scout troops, the Copake Fire Department, Neighbors Helping Neighbors, the Ancram Opera House, and more. Come learn how you can make a difference.

This fair is hosted by the Roeliff Jansen Community Library as part of The Great Give Back, a day of community service activities in libraries throughout New York State. The Great Give Back aims to contribute to communities by providing patrons with opportunities to participate in meaningful, service-oriented experiences.
