Concert at St. John in the Wilderness

Dance-inspired piano music by Granados and Satie, love-arias from Handel operas, contrapuntal voices creating harmony when they cross the aisle by Honneger; What do these have in common?

On February 10, 2019 at 3 pm at Church of St. John in the Wilderness in Copake Falls these pieces will be expanded into exciting new textures from their original instrumentation when arranged by the five players of Winds in the Wilderness Ensemble. There will also be solos on the program, including a performance on the Indian sarod and, as always, jazz.

Winds in the Wilderness Concerts is an award-winning organization known for the range and scope of its repertoire and the versatility of its musicians that is celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2019!

We approach every concert with re-invigorated enthusiasm for sharing our creative, innovative, joyful and educational programs – mixing classical and jazz, traditional and contemporary, eastern and western music.
