Hudsonia is pleased to announce a new webinar entitled “Best Practices for Environmental Reviews” to be held 12 – 1 pm on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, and conducted in collaboration with the NYSDEC Hudson River Estuary Program.
Reviews and approvals of most land development and subdivision projects are carried out at the local level by municipal Planning Boards and Zoning Boards of Appeal. Conservation Advisory Councils or other environmental commissions often assist with reviewing projects and advising decision-makers. This webinar will address how to obtain natural resource information for a site, techniques for map interpretation, and effective ways to incorporate conservation principles for significant habitats, wildlife, and water resources into those reviews. Building a collaborative relationship between the reviewing agency and the applicant from the earliest stage of project planning can lead to a speedier review process and improve project outcomes.

The webinar is free-of-charge and open to all but is specially designed for members of Conservation Advisory Councils and similar environmental commissions, Planning Boards, ZBAs, and others who regularly conduct environmental reviews of land development projects. Credit certificates for one hour of municipal training will be available.
